Ingredients
45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz Tequila
30 ml 1 fl oz Yuzu juice
15 ml 1/3 fl oz Triple sec
10 ml 1/3 fl oz Simple syrup
15 ml 1/2 fl oz Fresh lime juice
Salt
Ice cubes
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger
- Strainer
- Citrus press
- Coupe or Margarita glass
Instructions
- Start by rimming your margarita glass with salt. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the rim into a plate of coarse salt. Set the glass aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, yuzu juice, triple sec, simple syrup, and fresh lime juice.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
- Use a strainer to pour the mixture into the prepared margarita glass over fresh ice.
- Optionally, garnish with a lime wheel or a slice of yuzu on the rim of the glass.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the amount of simple syrup to suit your taste if you prefer a sweeter or more tart margarita.
- If you can’t find fresh yuzu juice, you can use bottled yuzu juice which is available at most Asian grocery stores.
