Ingredients

  • 180 ml 6 fl oz dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz brandy

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz fresh orange juice

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon honey

  • 1/4 1/4 orange, sliced

  • 1/4 1/4 apple, cored and diced

  • 5 5 grapes, halved

  • 1/4 1/4 peach or nectarine, sliced

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Wine glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon

Instructions

  • Slice your chosen fruits into bite-sized pieces and place them in your glass.
  • Drizzle the honey over the fruit.
  • Pour in the brandy and orange juice, then stir gently to help dissolve the sweetener.
  • Add the white wine and stir to combine all ingredients.
  • Add ice cubes to fill the glass.
  • For best results, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Stir before drinking.

Notes

  • While Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc work wonderfully for their crisp profiles, avoid overly sweet wines unless you prefer a sweeter sangria. A Spanish Albariño would be an authentic choice that brings lovely citrus notes to complement the fresh fruit.
