Ingredients

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz gin

  • 22.5 ml 2/3 fl oz triple sec

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz crème de violette

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz fresh lemon juice

  • 10 ml 1/3 fl oz chilled water

  • Ice cubes

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Coupe or martini glass

Instructions

  • Place the coupe or martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice and water to chill it while you make the drink.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, triple sec, crème de violette, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Discard the ice from your glass if you chilled it with ice, and strain the mixture into the chilled coupe or martini glass.
  • Optionally, you can garnish with a lemon twist or an edible flower to enhance the presentation.
