Ingredients

  • 10 10 fresh mint leaves

  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons  fresh lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons sugar 

  • 120 ml 4 fl oz soda water/club soda

  • Crushed ice

  • 1 1 lime wedge for garnish

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Muddler
  • Jigger

Instructions

  • Place the mint leaves and sugar in the bottom of your glass.
  • Add the fresh lime juice to the glass.
  • Using your muddler, gently press the mint leaves against the bottom of the glass to release their essential oils without shredding them. This should take about 10-15 seconds.
  • Fill the glass with crushed ice almost to the top.
  • Pour the soda water over the ice and gently stir with a bar spoon to combine all ingredients.
  • Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
