  • 3 1/8 fl oz Fresh Strawberries

  • 4 1/8 fl oz Fresh Basil Leaves

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Vodka

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Simple Syrup

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Fresh Lemon Juice

  • Ice Cubes

  • Strainer
  • Martini Glass
  • Fine Mesh Strainer

Instructions

  • Start by adding the strawberries and basil leaves into your cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to gently mash them together, releasing the juices and oils.
  • Pour in the vodka, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
  • Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass. For an extra smooth texture, use a fine mesh strainer.
  • Add a fresh basil leaf or a slice of strawberry to the rim of the glass for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Frozen strawberries can be used in a pinch, but they won’t provide the same taste.
