Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz Tequila Blanco

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Fresh grapefruit juice

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Fresh lime juice

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Agave syrup or simple syrup

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Grapefruit soda

  • 1 1 Jalapeño slice

  • 1 1 Pinch of salt

  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Moisten the rim of a highball glass with a lime wedge and dip it into Tajín or salt for a flavorful, spicy edge.
  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle a slice of fresh jalapeño to release its heat. Add more slices for extra spice.
  • Add tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, agave syrup, and a pinch of salt to the shaker. Fill it with ice.
  • Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to combine all the flavors.
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Pour grapefruit soda over the top and gently stir.
  • Add a grapefruit wedge and an extra jalapeño slice if desired.

Notes

  • If you’re unsure about the level of heat, start with half a jalapeño slice and adjust to your taste.
