Ingredients

  • 45 ml 45 Gin

  • 15 ml 15 Fresh Lemon Juice

  • 15 ml 15 Passion Fruit Syrup

  • 10 ml 10 Orgeat Syrup

  • 10 ml 10 Falernum

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Rock glass
  • Citrus press

Instructions

  • Juice your lemon and measure all the liquid ingredients using a jigger.
  • Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Secure the lid on your shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosty.
  • Using a strainer, pour the mixture into a chilled Rock glass or tiki mug filled with fresh ice.
  • Twist a strip of lime peel around a cherry and place it on top of the drink for a decorative touch.

Notes

  • Orgeat syrup is a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar, and rose or orange flower water, adding a unique nutty flavor to the cocktail. If you don’t have falernum, a spiced syrup, you can substitute with a dash of simple syrup and a touch of allspice for a similar effect.
