Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz dark rum

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 1 fresh whole egg

  • Grated nutmeg, for garnish

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Jigger
  • Coupe glass

Instructions

  • Add the granulated sugar, fresh whole egg, dark rum, and heavy cream into the cocktail shaker.
  • Perform a dry shake by shaking vigorously without ice for about 10-15 seconds to emulsify the egg and mix the ingredients.
  • Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds to chill the mixture.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass or rocks glass.
