Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz dark rum

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz coffee liqueur

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz freshly brewed espresso

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz simple syrup

  • Ice cubes

  • Coffee beans for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass

Instructions

  • Chill a martini glass in the freezer for about 15 minutes to ensure your drink stays cold.
  • Add dark rum, coffee liqueur, freshly brewed espresso, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and frothy.
  • Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with three coffee beans.

Notes

  • Freshly brewed espresso provides the best flavor and froth for this cocktail.
