Ingredients

  • 8 8 fresh mint leaves

  • 12 12 raspberries

  • 1 1 lime

  • 2 teaspoons 2 teaspoons granulated sugar

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz white rum

  • 120 ml 4 fl oz soda water

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Muddler
  • Jigger
  • Highball glass

Instructions

  • In the highball glass, add the fresh mint leaves, raspberries, and lime wedges. Sprinkle the sugar over them, then use a muddler to gently mash everything together.
  • Pour in the white rum, stirring gently to combine the flavors.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with soda water. Stir to mix the drink thoroughly.
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint and a few extra raspberries for a beautiful presentation. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra burst of flavor, use sparkling raspberry water instead of plain soda water, or substitute half the soda water with a splash of raspberry liqueur.
