Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Bourbon

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Pumpkin spice syrup

  • 2 dashes 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Orange peel for garnish

  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

  • Ice cubes

  • Old-fashioned glass

Instructions

  • Fill an old-fashioned glass with a large ice cube or several smaller ones.
  • Combine bourbon, pumpkin spice syrup, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters into the glass.
  • Stir well for about 20-30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
  • Express the oil from an orange peel over the drink by twisting it over the glass, then drop it in. Add a cinnamon stick for an aromatic touch.

Notes

  • You can make your own pumpkin spice syrup by simmering equal parts water and sugar with a tablespoon of pumpkin puree and a pinch of pumpkin spice mix until the sugar dissolves. Strain before using.
