Ingredients

60 ml 2 fl oz tequila blanco

60 ml 2 fl oz sweet and sour mix

30 ml 1 fl oz triple sec

30 ml 1 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice

30 ml 1 fl oz prickly pear syrup

Salt for rimming the glass

L ime wedge, for garnish

Instructions
- Moisten the rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into a shallow dish filled with salt to create a salted rim.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, sweet and sour mix, triple sec, lime juice, and prickly pear syrup. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass and serve.
Notes
- To create the perfect prickly pear syrup, peel and juice prickly pears, then simmer the juice with an equal part of sugar until fully dissolved.
