Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz tequila

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz triple sec

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz fresh lime juice

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz cranberry juice

  • Ice cubes

  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)

  • Lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • If desired, rim your margarita glass with salt. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim and dip the glass into a small plate of salt.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and cranberry juice. Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Secure the lid on the shaker and shake well until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and chilled. This should take about 15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge or wheel.

Notes

  • For an added twist, try adding a splash of soda water on top for a sparkling effect.
