Ingredients
60 ml 2 fl oz tequila
30 ml 1 fl oz triple sec
30 ml 1 fl oz fresh lime juice
30 ml 1 fl oz cranberry juice
Ice cubes
Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
Lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Instructions
- If desired, rim your margarita glass with salt. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim and dip the glass into a small plate of salt.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and cranberry juice. Fill the shaker with ice.
- Secure the lid on the shaker and shake well until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and chilled. This should take about 15 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into your prepared margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge or wheel.
Notes
- For an added twist, try adding a splash of soda water on top for a sparkling effect.
