45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz bourbon whiskey
15 ml 1/2 fl oz peach schnapps
15 ml 1/2 fl oz simple syrup
1/2 1/2 fl oz fresh peach
6 leaves 6 leaves fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice

Instructions
- In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with a couple of fresh peach slices to release their aroma. Avoid over-muddling, which can make the mint bitter.
- Pour in the bourbon, peach schnapps, and simple syrup over the muddled mixture. Stir lightly to blend.
- Fill the cup with crushed ice, mounding it above the rim if possible to achieve that classic julep presentation.
- Garnish with a mint sprig and a thin peach slice for an extra touch of elegance. Serve immediately with a short straw.
