Ingredients

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz white rum

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz aged rum

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz overproof rum

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz lime juice

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz apricot brandy

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Falernum

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz pineapple juice

  • 7.5 ml 1/3 fl oz grenadine

  • 2 dashes 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Ice cubes

  • Mint sprig and a cherry for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Jigger
  • Highball glass
  • Bar spoon

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice.
  • Add the white rum, aged rum, overproof rum, lime juice, apricot brandy, Falernum, pineapple juice, grenadine, and Angostura bitters to the shaker.
  • Shake well to combine all ingredients.
  • Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and a cherry on top.

Notes

  • If Falernum isn’t available, you can make a simple homemade version by infusing rum with cloves, lime zest, ginger, and almond syrup.
