Ingredients

  • 75 ml 2 1/2 fl oz Gin

  • 1 splash 1 splash Dry Vermouth

  • Lemon twist or Olive for garnish

  • Ice Cubes

Equipment

  • Mixing Glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar Spoon
  • Martini Glass
  • Strainer

Instructions

  • Fill a Martini glass with ice and a splash of dry vermouth to chill it. Let it sit while you prepare the drink.
  • Using the jigger, measure and pour gin into the mixing glass filled with ice.
  • Swirl the vermouth in the Martini glass and then discard the ice and vermouth, leaving a vermouth-coated glass.
  • Stir the gin gently in the mixing glass for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain the chilled gin into the prepared Martini glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist or an olive.

Notes

  • For a slightly different twist, try using a dash of orange bitters.
