Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz whiskey (bourbon or rye)

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon maraschino liqueur

  • 1 dash 1 dash absinthe

  • 1 dash 1 dash Angostura bitters

  • 1 dash 1 dash Peychaud’s bitters

  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon simple syrup

  • Lemon peel

Instructions

  • Chill your glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice while you prepare the drink.
  • In a mixing glass, add the whiskey, maraschino liqueur, absinthe, Angostura bitters, Peychaud’s bitters, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir for about 20-30 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into your chilled Old Fashioned glass over a large ice cube or straight up.
  • Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink by twisting it above the glass. Use the peel as a garnish.
