Ingredients

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz tequila

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz fresh lime juice

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz hot honey syrup

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz triple sec or Cointreau

  • Ice

  • Lime wedge and chili powder (optional, for garnish)

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Jigger
  • Rock glass

Instructions

  • Optionally, run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it in chili powder for a spicy rim.
  • If you don’t have pre-made hot honey syrup, you can create one by mixing equal parts of honey with hot water and adding a pinch of chili flakes. Stir until well dissolved.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, hot honey syrup, and triple sec into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds to ensure the ingredients are well-mixed and chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Add a lime wedge for decoration, and serve.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer chili flakes to your hot honey syrup.
