  • 60 ml 2 fl oz gin

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz simple syrup 

  • 10 10 fresh basil leaves

  • Ice cubes

  • Rock glass

Instructions

  • Place the fresh basil leaves in the cocktail shaker. Use the muddler to gently press the leaves to release their aromatic oils. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much, as this can make the cocktail bitter.
  • Add the gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup into the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes, seal it, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. This will chill the mixture and ensure the ingredients are well blended.
