22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz Amaro
22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz Chai Simple Syrup
15 ml 1/2 fl oz Brandy

1 1 Cinnamon Stick
1 1 Star Anise
4 4 whole cloves
1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon Black Peppercorns
8 8 Green Cardamom Pods
2 tablespoon 2 tablespoon Fresh Ginger (grated)
160 ml 2/3 cup Water
135 g 2/3 cup Sugar
1 1 Black Tea Bag

Instructions
- Make the Masala Chai Simple Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, combine the cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, black peppercorns, green cardamom pods, and grated ginger with 2/3 cup of water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes to extract the flavors.
- Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved, then add the black tea bag and steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag, strain the syrup into a container to remove the spices, and allow it to cool completely.
- Make the Cocktail:
- Fill the shaker halfway with ice.
- Pour the gin, amaro, chai simple syrup, and brandy into the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
- Strain the cocktail into a old fashioned glass over a large ice cube.
- Add a lemon twist or a star anise pod for a striking presentation.
