Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Cognac

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz Amaretto liqueur

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Old fashioned glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger

Instructions

  • Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice cubes.
  • Measure and pour the cognac over the ice.
  • Measure and pour the amaretto over the cognac.
  • Gently stir with a bar spoon to combine the spirits (about 5-10 seconds).
  • Optional: Garnish with an orange or lemon twist.

Notes

  • Since this cocktail only contains two ingredients, using a good quality cognac and amaretto will significantly impact the final taste. A VSOP cognac works perfectly here.
