Ingredients

60 ml 2 fl oz Bourbon

15 ml 1/2 fl oz Cointreau

1 1 Sugar Cube
-
2 dashes 2 Angostura Bitters

Orange Peel

Muddler
Instructions
- Place a sugar cube at the bottom of an Old Fashioned glass.
- Soak the sugar cube with 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- Use a muddler to crush the sugar cube until it dissolves in the bitters, forming a paste at the bottom of the glass.
- Pour the Cointreau and bourbon into the glass.
- Add a large ice cube or several smaller ones, and stir the mixture gently for about 20 seconds to chill and dilute the drink slightly.
- Express the oils from an orange peel over the top of the drink by twisting it, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
