Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz vodka

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz lemon juice

  • 120 ml 4 fl oz club soda

  • Lemon wedge or twist

  • Salt, for rimming the glass

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Highball glass

Instructions

  • Take the lemon wedge and run it around the rim of the highball glass. Dip the rim into a small plate filled with salt to create a salted rim. This adds a nice salty contrast to the drink.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Shake well to ensure the flavors blend together.
  • Fill the highball glass with ice and pour the shaken mixture over the ice. Top up with club soda. Use a spoon or cocktail stirrer to gently mix the drink, combining all the flavors without losing too much fizz from the club soda.
  • Garnish with a lemon wedge or twist.

Notes

  • For an added twist, you can use flavored vodka to experiment with different taste profiles in your Chilton cocktail.
