Ingredients

  • 1 1 lime (cut into 8 wedges)

  • 2 teaspoons 2 sugar

  • 60 ml 60 cachaça

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Muddler
  • Bar spoon
  • Rocks glass
  • Jigger

Instructions

  • In a rocks glass, add the lime wedges and sugar. Use a muddler (or the back of a wooden spoon) to gently press and crush the limes, releasing the juice while dissolving the sugar. Aim for a balance of juice and oils from the lime peel to create a well-rounded flavor.
  • Pourthe cachaça over the muddled lime and sugar mixture. Stir gently with a bar spoon to blend the ingredients.
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes, preferably crushed for a more authentic feel.
  • Give the cocktail one final stir to chill and blend everything together.
