Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz Brandy or Cognac

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz Dark Crème de Cacao

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz Heavy Cream

  • Ice cubes

  • Nutmeg for garnish

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Jigger
  • Coupe glass

Instructions

  • Begin by chilling your coupe or martini glass in the freezer for a few minutes.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the brandy, dark crème de cacao, and heavy cream.
  • Add ice cubes to the shaker, then cover and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled.
  • Remove the glass from the freezer. Use the strainer to pour the cocktail mixture into the chilled glass.
  • Finely grate a dusting of nutmeg over the top of the cocktail for a fragrant and aromatic finish.

Notes

  • You can adjust the creaminess of the cocktail by varying the amount of heavy cream used. More cream will result in a richer texture.
