Ingredients

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz grenadine

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz white rum

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz coconut rum

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz pineapple juice

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz pineapple rum

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz blue curaçao

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Jigger
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Bar spoon

Instructions

  • Fill your highball glass with ice cubes to set the stage for layered perfection.
  • Pour the grenadine into the bottom of the glass. Its heavy consistency will keep it firmly at the base.
  • In a shaker, combine white rum, coconut rum, and pineapple juice. Shake with ice until chilled.
  • Gently layer this mixture over the grenadine by pouring it over the back of a bar spoon.
  • In a separate shaker, mix blue curaçao, pineapple rum, and pineapple juice. Shake well.
  • Carefully pour this mixture over the back of the bar spoon to create the final layer.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with a pineapple wedge or cherry if desired.
