Ingredients

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz Grand Marnier (orange liqueur)

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz amaretto (almond liqueur)

  • 150 ml 5 fl oz hot black tea

  • Orange slice

  • Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)

Equipment

  • Mug glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Teapot or kettle

Instructions

  • Prepare your favorite hot black tea in a teapot or kettle. Earl Grey or an English breakfast tea works particularly well for this recipe.
  • Pour a little hot water into your heatproof glass or mug to warm it, then discard the water.
  • Pour the Grand Marnier and amaretto into the glass.
  • Top with freshly brewed hot black tea. Stir gently to combine.
  • Add a slice of orange for a fruity aroma and, if desired, a cinnamon stick for a spiced touch.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, steep the tea slightly longer before adding it to the cocktail.
