Ingredients

45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz tequila

30 ml 1 fl oz blood orange juice

15 ml 1/2 fl oz lime juice

15 ml 1/2 fl oz triple sec

15 ml 1/2 fl oz simple syrup

Salt or sugar for rimming

Blood orange or lime wheel for garnish

Margarita glass
Instructions
- Rim the edge of a margarita glass with salt or sugar by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and then dipping it into a plate of salt or sugar. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup.
- Add ice to the shaker, cover, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a slice of blood orange or lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
