Ingredients

  • 45 ml 1 1/2 fl oz apricot brandy

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz simple syrup

  • 1 1 egg white (optional, for a frothy texture)

  • Ice cubes

  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Citrus press
  • Rock glass

Instructions

  • Place your rocks glass in the freezer while preparing the cocktail
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the apricot brandy, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using).
  • Shake the mixture without ice for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create a frothy texture.
  • Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake again for 10-15 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Using a Hawthorne strainer, strain the mixture into the chilled glass. If you want an extra smooth texture, use a fine mesh strainer as well.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist or a slice of apricot to add a visual pop and extra fragrance.

Notes

  • For a twist on the flavor, try adding a dash of bitters to the cocktail to balance the sweetness even more.
