Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Caribbean Rum

  • 180 ml 6 fl oz ginger beer

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz fresh lime juice

  • 2 2 small pieces of fresh ginger (for muddling)

  • 1 1 lime wedge (for garnish)

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Moscow mule mug
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger
  • Muddler

Instructions

  • Take your copper mug and add the small pieces of fresh ginger to the bottom.
  • Using a muddler, gently press the ginger to release its oils and flavor.
  • Fill the mug about ¾ of the way with ice cubes.
  • Pour the Caribbean rum over the ice.
  • Add the fresh lime juice.
  • Top with ginger beer and gently stir with a bar spoon to combine all ingredients.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the mug.
