  • 30 ml 1 fl oz freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz simple syrup

  • 4 slices 4 slices cucumber

  • 6 leaves 6 leaves mint

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Jigger
  • Coupe glass
  • Muddler
  • Fine mesh strainer

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the cucumber slices and mint leaves gently to release their flavors. Be careful not to pulverize them.
  • Add the gin, lime juice, simple syrup, and a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the shaker feels cold to the touch.
  • Double strain the mixture into a rocks glass or coupe glass filled with fresh ice. Using a fine mesh sieve can help to remove any small bits of cucumber and mint.
  • Garnish with a cucumber slice or a sprig of mint for an extra aromatic touch.

Notes

  • For a slightly more intense flavor, let the cucumber and mint sit in the gin for a few minutes before muddling.
