Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz blended Scotch whisky

  • 7.5 ml 1/4 fl oz Islay single malt Scotch

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz fresh lemon juice

  • 22.5 ml 3/4 fl oz honey-ginger syrup

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Jigger
  • Hawthorne strainer
  • Rock glass

Instructions

  • In a shaker, add the blended Scotch, fresh lemon juice, and honey-ginger syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into an ice-filled rocks glass.
  • Float the Islay single malt Scotch on top by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon for a smoky aroma.
  • Add a piece of candied ginger or a lemon peel twist for an extra pop of flavor.
