Ingredients

  • 10 leaves 10 leaves Fresh mint leaves

  • 30 ml 1 fl oz Fresh lime juice

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Spiced rum

  • 15 ml 1/2 fl oz Simple syrup

  • Club soda (To top up)

  • Ice cubes

  • Lime wedge (for garnish)

  • Mint sprig (for garnish)

  • cocktail shaker
  • bar spoon
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Highball glass

Instructions

  • Place the mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle the mint with a muddler, just enough to release the essential oils without tearing the leaves.
  • Add the lime juice, spiced rum, and simple syrup to the shaker. Fill it halfway with ice cubes.
  • Shake the mixture briefly, about 5–10 seconds, to blend the flavors.
  • Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top up with club soda to your taste. Give it a gentle stir with a bar spoon to combine.
  • Add a lime wedge and a sprig of mint for a refreshing look and aroma.
