Ingredients
60 ml 2 fl oz bourbon whiskey
15 ml 1/2 fl oz apple cider
1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon maple syrup (or honey)
2 dashes 2 dashes apple bitters
1 slice 1 slice apple
Ice cubes

Instructions
- Place the Old Fashioned glass in the freezer or fill it with ice to chill while you prepare the drink.
- In a mixing glass, combine the bourbon, apple cider, maple syrup, and bitters.
- Add a few ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir the mixture for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.
- Discard the ice in your Old Fashioned glass if used for chilling. Strain the mixture into the chilled glass over a large ice cube or a few smaller ones.
- Add a thin apple slice to the rim or drop it into the glass for a burst of aroma and visual appeal. Optionally, sprinkle a dash of cinnamon for an extra layer of flavor.
