  • 2 dashes 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • 1 1 orange peel

  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Mixing glass
  • Jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Old Fashioned glass

Instructions

  • Combine bourbon, ginger syrup, and Angostura bitters in a mixing glass.
  • Add a few ice cubes to the mixing glass and stir the mixture for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the cocktail into an Old Fashioned glass filled with a large ice cube or a few smaller ones.
  • Express the oils of an orange peel over the drink by gently squeezing it, then drop it into the glass. Add a thin slice of fresh ginger as an optional garnish for an extra zing.
