60 ml 2 fl oz rye, bourbon, rum, or brandy
1 dash 1 dash Angostura bitters
Apple cider, to top
Ice cubes
1 splash 1 splash simple syrup (optional)

Instructions
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes to chill.
- Pour your chosen spirit (rye, bourbon, rum, or brandy) directly into the glass.
- Drop in 1 dashes of Angostura bitters.
