Ingredients

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Ginger Ale

  • 60 ml 2 fl oz Lemon-Lime Soda

  • 15 ml 2/3 fl oz Grenadine

  • Ice cubes

  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Equipment

  • Highball glass
  • Jigger
  • Stirring spoon

Instructions

  • Fill your chosen glass with ice cubes, using the ice tongs for easy handling.
  • Pour the ginger ale and lemon-lime soda into the glass.
  • Measure out the grenadine using a jigger or measuring cup and pour it into the glass. It will sink to the bottom, creating a beautiful layered effect.
  • Use a stirring spoon to gently mix the drink. Be careful not to over-stir, as you want to maintain the grenadine’s lovely gradient.
  • Top your Shirley Temple with a maraschino cherry for an added touch of elegance.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter drink, add a bit more grenadine to taste. For a less sweet version, reduce the amount slightly.
